A Nashville attorney has been confirmed to a lifetime appointment to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
The U.S. Senate on Monday approved Jane Branstetter Stranch for the court, which hears appeals from federal courts in Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan and Ohio.
Stranch, managing member Branstetter, Stranch & Jennings law firm, and specializes in complex labor and employment litigation. She has practiced at the firm, which was founded by her father, throughout her 30-year career.
She was nominated by President Barack Obama in August 2009. A date has not been set for Stranch's swearing-in.
