Three people died Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 64 in Franklin County, Kentucky State Police said.
State police said the crash happened at 1:05 p.m. near the 50-mile marker of I-64 in Franklin County. A man, woman and infant girl were all pronounced dead at the scene.
The victims are not from Kentucky; their identities are being withheld pending notification of the family, Trooper Ron Turley said.
He said the three were traveling west on I-64 in a Chevrolet Trailblazer when the vehicle left the road and the driver overcorrected. The SUV then crossed both lanes, overturned and hit a tree, Turley said.
He said the driver and the baby were buckled in, but he did not know whether the woman had been wearing a seatbelt.
Police are investigating the cause of the wreck.
