STANFORD — A man was killed Thursday night as he attempted to cross U.S. 127 in Lincoln County, Kentucky State Police said.
Bobby Henson, 77, of Stanford, stepped in front of a 2003 Chevy Tahoe driven by Lloyd Morgan, 47, also of Stanford.
Morgan tried to swerve, but the SUV hit Henson and ran off the road, police said. Morgan and two passengers were not hurt.
Henson was taken to Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Frankfort, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation continues, but no charges have been filed.
