An 8-month-old girl who died Tuesday after being found unresponsive in a bathtub was identified Wednesday as Josie Marie Seibert of Butler.
State police in Dry Ridge said in a news release that they received a call at 11:13 a.m. saying that the girl's father, later identified as Justin Seibert of Butler, had found her in the bathtub at a home on Flour Creek Road.
Josie was taken to Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, where she was pronounced dead.
State police had no further information Wednesday. Pendleton County Deputy Coroner Jonathan Peoples confirmed the identity of the girl on Wednesday night.

Along with her father, Josie is survived by her mother, Catelyn Marie Simpson-Barnette, of Butler; a brother, Justin Diamon T. Seibert of Butler; and four grandparents.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the People Funeral Home in Butler with services immediately following at the funeral home.
Josie will be buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Butler.
