Man in serious condition after Manchester shooting

A Clay County man remained in serious condition Saturday at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital after allegedly being shot by a relative during an argument, police said.

Bobby Hibbard, 46, was wounded Thursday night in Manchester during a property dispute, according to Kentucky State Police. The shooting occurred just after 8 p.m. on Otter Creek Road, police said.

Hibbard was flown to UK for treatment.

Cloyd Hibbard, 76, also of Manchester, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault in the shooting, troopers said. Cloyd Hibbard is Bobby Hibbard's uncle, Trooper 1st Class Don Trosper said.

Cloyd Hibbard is being held in the Clay County Detention Center.
