The second of two Laurel County jail inmates who walked away from a work detail earlier this month has been apprehended.
At about noon on Saturday, inmate Mark Turner's mother contacted the Laurel County Correctional Facility and said that her son was at her home and was ready to turn himself in.
Laurel County Jailer Jamie Mosley, along with Capt. Marty Robinson and Sgt. Billy Bowling, went to the home on Cold Fork Road in Manchester and found Turner waiting, according to a news release from the jail.
Turner was taken back to the Laurel County Correctional Facility in London.
Jimmy Martin, who left with Turner on Aug. 16, was taken into custody on Aug. 19 after he was found hiding in a mobile home in Clay County.
