A Harlan County man was killed in a collision with a large truck early Thursday, state police said in a news release.
The initial investigation indicates Jack Clem, 36, of Cawood was driving north on U.S. 421 when his 1990 Dodge Dakota crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a 2011 International truck driven by Ronnie Fuson, 25, of Pineville.
State police said Clem's injuries indicate that he wasn't wearing a seat belt. He was partially ejected from his pickup and died at the scene.
Alcohol or drug use is not suspected as a factor in the wreck, police said.
