The Laurel County Sheriff's Department said Thursday it was investigating allegations that a London septic tank company dumped raw sewage at two locations.
Sheriff John Root said a resident reported seeing a truck dumping raw sewage into Little Craig's Creek west of London on Wednesday morning. An investigation indicated Owens Septic Tank Cleaning of London was involved, Root said in a news release.
According to the sheriff, the dumping allegedly was done by a company driver, Ernest Wagers Jr., 44, of London.
Further investigation indicated raw sewage also had been dumped at the company's business location on Lily Road, about 2 miles south of London, Root said in a news release.
