Authorities found a charred body in the rubble of a Prestonsburg mobile home destroyed by fire late Tuesday.
Floyd County Deputy Coroner Chuck Hall said that the body, believed to be that of a woman, was found in what appeared to have been a bathroom in the home. He said dental records are being used to make a positive identification.
Prestonsburg firefighters were called to 87 Hyden Trailer Park shortly before midnight. Two firefighters received injuries that were apparently minor, according to the deputy coroner.
He said authorities were still investigating the cause of the blaze. The victim was pronounced dead about 3 a.m. Wednesday, he said.
