Missing Morehead State student found

A Morehead State University student who had been reported missing since Wednesday called his parents Sunday and said he is in New Mexico, according to authorities.

Daniel Hiser, 20, of Milledgeville, Ohio, went missing after his 2000 Ford Expedition struck a building, according to police.

Hiser gave no explanation for his disappearance, but is well and continues to communicate with his family, according to the Fayette County, Ohio, sheriff's office.

MSU police were contacted Sunday morning by a couple who said they picked up Hiser on Thursday in Southern Indiana and took him to Little Rock, Ark., the Ohio sheriff's office said.
