A farmer working in a field in Garrard County hit a dead body with his bushhog Sunday afternoon, according to county Coroner Daryl Hodge.
The body was that of a man, but he had been dead several days and his identity had not been confirmed Sunday, Hodge said.
An autopsy is scheduled Monday to try to identify the man and determine what caused his death.
Hodge said his office was notified about 4:30 p.m. Sunday that the body had been discovered.
