Lincoln County woman to be arraigned in July in shooting death of her husband

A Lincoln County woman accused of shooting her husband as he slept was recently indicted by a grand jury.

Tamara Richie, 50, allegedly shot her husband in the head Oct. 22 while he was sleeping in their home south of Stanford. His body was discovered three days later, according to Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger.

Folger said Richie was indicted May 24 by a Lincoln County grand jury. He also said Richie spent time after her arrest at the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center, but she is now in the Lincoln County jail.

Lincoln County Circuit Court Clerk Teresa Reed said Richie's arraignment is set for July 2.
