One woman was killed and four people were injured Tuesday night in a two-car wreck on Ky. 39 in Pulaski County, Somerset police said in a news release Wednesday.
Melissa Sears, 38, of Somerset, lost control of the car she was driving southbound, and it crossed the center line, striking a northbound van.
Seasrs was killed, and two of her passengers, Emma Miracle, 13, and Richard Clay Miracle, 19, both of Somerset, were flown to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where they were listed in serious condition Wednesday, hospital spokeswoman Julie Phillips said.
The van's driver, Michelle Smith, 40, of Crab Orchard, and a passenger, Samuel Smith, whose age was unavailable, also were flown to UK Hospital. Michelle Smith was listed in fair condition Wednesday, and Samuel Smith was listed in serious condition, Phillips said.

The wreck occurred about 8:05 p.m. Tuesday night.
Rain might have contributed to the crash, but an police accident reconstruction unit is continuing the investigation.
Sears and the other victims were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision, according to the news release.
