Parts of Interstate 75 in Laurel County were closed Friday night after a tractor-trailer overturned and caught fire, state and local police said.
The wreck happened around 8 p.m. near mile marker 30, according to the London Police Department.
Kentucky State Police dispatchers said the driver of a Fed-Ex truck sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The southbound and northbound lanes near mile marker 30 were shut down for a little more than an hour. Kentucky State Police were able to open one lane of northbound I-75 around 9 p.m. and were working to open at least one southbound lane around 9:30 p.m.
Police were asking that people avoid the area.
Northbound traffic was being diverted at Exit 29. Southbound traffic was diverted at Exit 38.
