Salvation Army is serving food in Lexington

Meals on Wheels, schools and other places where people get food are closed today.

But the Salvation Army at 736 West Main Street, Lexington is open. Those who need a hot meal can stop by for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. daily as long as needed.

The Salvation Army's mobile kitchen will be feeding elderly residents at the African Kanisa apartments, 471 Price Road, and at the Jessamine County emergency shelter.
