Horse farms asked to report damage

The Kentucky Thoroughbred Association and the Kentucky Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders, at the request of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, is asking horse farms to report winter storm damages.

KTA/KTOB executive director David Switzer said the organization also has contacted the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency about possible federal disaster assistance.

Farms were asked to e-mail reports to Many horse farms suffered widespread power outages to barns and homes, along with major tree and fence damage.
