Scanning the list of performers who have committed to entertain during the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, we were forced to wonder if organizers expected the thousands of visitors supposedly headed our way from around the globe to all be over 60. The lineup looks, well, decidedly gray. Of course, singer Tony Bennett has demonstrated an ageless appeal in recent years. But we're not sure how many people who aren't yet eligible for AARP membership can remember the heyday of some of the other headliners from the past. For instance, Charlie Daniels' current claim to fame comes from a Geico commercial. And Chubby Checker? It's doubtful many of his fans from back in the day can still do The Twist without throwing out a back or damaging a replaced hip or knee. Where are the performers who can get the young folks rolling on the floor of their "Old Kentucky Home"? Without such acts, we may give new meaning to those three words.
