I’ve heard some very disgusting, mean-spirited and brutally tough things said about President Donald Trump. But is that fair?
“He’s done such a poor job as president.” “Has no idea what he is doing, incompetent?” “Been a total disaster.” “Is a terrible president.” “Is a delusional failure.” “Is looking like an incompetent fool.” “Is a truly pathetic excuse of a president, can’t get any worse.” “He spends his mornings watching ESPN, then he golfs.”
An amateur orator might say of those things — “Believe me, sad.” Trump and his followers are too mature to say things like that, and would have enough class to not behave like that if he wasn’t the president. If those quotes have a certain ring to them, it’s because they’re from the @realDonaldTrump tweets.
If Sen. Mitch McConnell wants to do Trump a favor, he should drop-kick Trump’s phone into the Potomac or smash it. That device, the albatross around his neck, is making the U.S. a worldwide joke and unsafe, is unraveling what’s left of his tiny time left to be president and, like Richard Nixon’s tapes, Trump’s tweets are sealing his demise.
Not sick of winning, sick of Trump’s whining.
