Since 1948, I have followed the University of Kentucky football Wildcats. The fight song says “we’ll fight, fight, fight for the blue and white” — the blue of Dick Stoll and the white for purity of purpose.

For years and years, we fans have been subjected to professional hype and rising prices to support second-rate results. Now, contrary to tradition, are we required to pray for the black and gray ugly and inappropriate uniforms?
