Letters to the Editor

WW2 history ignored by paper

On June 6, 1944 the invasion of Europe began. More than 4,000 (2,499 Americans) brave souls lost their lives. The Herald-Leader failed to print a word of this in the June 6 edition.

True to form the evening news on ABC and CBS also failed to acknowledge this very important event of World War II. How sad.
