We complain about politicians, then re-elect them.
Do you want the same old politics or do you want to elect someone who is willing to fight the system, retooling it so that it serves the working-class people (with 12-year term limits, cancel politician retirement pay, docking politicians' salaries when they fail to balance the budget, etc.)?
Just type "worst-run state" at 247wallst.com to find a comprehensive study ranking Kentucky the worst government in America.
The Herald-Leader endorsed my opponent because he has experience — after 18 years, we know he's not the solution. His record this year of cosponsoring HB530 trying to raise debt, raise taxes on hurting businesses and losing the Right to Life endorsement show he looks more like U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's party than a Kentucky Democrat.
Let's stop fooling ourselves and realize if we don't pay our debt our children will suffer from it. We must encourage business, reform our failing education and health care systems, and revitalize our state (see VoteForKerr.com).
We don't have to give up on America, we don't have to give up on prosperity, and we don't have to relinquish our freedoms to big government. Let's elect honest leaders, rein in government, tighten our belts and work harder so that we don't live in a land of the apathetic and home of the financially enslaved but continue to enjoy the land of the free and home of the brave.
Remember, a vote for Kerr is a vote for a better future.
