Citizens of the 10th Urban County Council District: I do continue campaigning very hard, walking the neighborhoods because I want to represent you.
I hear your pleas for help on age-old issues (stormwater and sewer infrastructure, congestion on Harrodsburg and Clays Mill roads) that have haunted this district for many years and still no results.
I, too, have heard the promises to fix and cure what has plagued the district for 13 years from former council member Sandy Shafer and for 20 months from the appointed incumbent Doug Martin. Same old issues, still no results.
While stationed at Fire Station 11 on Harrodsburg Road for years, I experienced and dealt with these issues that still trouble us.
I have witnessed the destruction, pain and suffering and the losses that this outdated and over-tapped infrastructure has caused. I have responded to your calls for help and assistance in the district and experienced the backups and congestion on Harrodsburg and Clays Mill roads for many years as I still do today.
Same old issue, still no results.
I do know the issues and will work tirelessly and aggressively with others to get these improvements started. I'm tired of no results.
My campaign is endorsed by the Lexington Fraternal Order of Police, Lexington Professional Firefighters, Civil Service Employees Association of the Urban County Government and state Rep. Stan Lee.
I ask for your vote on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
