A Harlan County man was hit and killed by a pickup truck Monday night after his car broke down.
Knox County Deputy Coroner Floyd Blevins said Wednesday that Roger Woodard, 53, of Evarts in Harlan County, had walked across 25E to Messer's Market near the Wal-Mart on the south side of Barbourville in Knox County after having car trouble.
He was walking back to his vehicle when he was struck by the pickup in the southbound lane, Blevins said.
