Crews will be re-striping Vine Street this week between Broadway and Limestone Street to establish permanent bike lanes and parking lanes. The work will also involve re-striping Main Street from Rose Street to Broadway. The work will be done in the evening from Monday through Friday. Motorists should use caution in the area.
Traffic could be congested in the downtown area near Fifth Third Pavilion at Cheapside Park from 4-8 p.m. Thursday for Central Bank Thursday Night Live.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, which will take place from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, in downtown Lexington, will result in closing these streets:
Midland Avenue; Main Street from Broadway to Woodland Avenue; Vine Street, from Mill Street to Midland Avenue; High Street, from Arlington to Mill Street; Mill Street, Upper Street, Limestone Street, Martin Luther King Boulevard, and Rose Street; Grand from Maxwell Street to Short Street; Water Street, Quality Street, Hernando Alley, Beck Alley, Deweese Street and Esplanade.
The annual Fire Prevention Parade, Festival and Run, which will take place downtown from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 8, will result in closing these streets:
Main Street from Woodland to Limestone Street; Short Street from Broadway to Midland Avenue; Midland Avenue; Second Street from Broadway to Midland Avenue; Elm Tree Lane from Vine to Fifth Street; Fifth Street from Elm Tree Lane to Upper Street; Fourth Street from Limestone Street to Broadway; Third Street from Upper Street to Broadway; Mill Street from Third Street to Main Street.
The Division of Engineering issued land disturbance (grading) permits for the following addresses from September 21-27: 4131 Tates Creek Centre Drive, 3104 Blackford Parkway, 1108 Still Well Avenue, 269 Somersly Place, 2833 Kearney Creek Lane, 292 Somersly Place, 1732 Sandhurst Cove, 185 North Cleveland Road, 1356 Cahill Drive, 1937 Deer Meadow Trace, 3680 Winthrop Drive, 217 Shell Court, 220 Ferndale Pass, 1775 Battery Street, 2408 Geppa Court, 557 Southpoint Drive, 2349 Ice House Way, 3759 Sunflower Street, 2333 Innovation Drive, 1830 Falling Leaves Lane and 1962 Falling Leaves Lane.
Permits are issued for six months and can include some blasting.
Keeneland Fall Live Meet will run Friday until Oct 27. Gates will open at 11 a.m. on racing days. There is no racing on Mondays and Tuesdays. The track is on Versailles Road.

All lanes of New Circle Road will be blocked for five minutes at a time in both directions between Alumni Drive and Richmond Road from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. Thursday for utility work.
SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT
One approach lane at a time of Leestown Road will be blocked at South Forbes Road from Monday through Thursday to install new traffic signals.
One approach lane at a time of Richmond Road will be blocked at St. Margaret Drive from Monday through Thursday to install new traffic signals.
There will be a moving blockage of Man o' War Boulevard from Versailles Road to Polo Club Boulevard on Tuesday for street sweeping.
There will be a rolling closure of the right lane of inbound or outbound Tates Creek Road between Dove Run Road and Turkey Foot Road through Oct. 19, to relocate street lights for an upcoming sidewalk project.
The right lane of West Maxwell Street will be blocked between Merino Street and South Broadway through Oct. 12, for utility work.
MODERATE TRAFFIC IMPACT
The southbound lane of Perry Street will be blocked between Manchester Street and Edmond Street from Monday through Oct. 31 for utility work.
The northbound lane of North Mill Street will be blocked between West Second Street and Church Street on Monday for crane work.
The westbound lane of Angliana Avenue will be blocked between South Broadway and Versailles Road from Monday through Friday for utility work.
