■ A pair of bombs came through in the day's sixth race, a 61/2-furlong test for 2-year-old fillies, as 38-to-1 shot Silver Strike nosed out 25-to-1 shot Flashy Gray in the first outing for both.
■ Jockey Julien Leparoux confirmed Saturday that he will be joining the Southern California jockey colony on a regular basis following the conclusion on the Keeneland meet on April 27.
