Hidalgo’s double leads DSL Padres to 6-4 win over DSL D-backs1

, (AP) -- Eduard Hidalgo hit a run-scoring double in the eighth inning, leading the DSL Padres to a 6-4 win over the DSL D-backs1 on Friday.

The double by Hidalgo started the scoring in a three-run inning and tied the game 4-4. Later in the inning, DSL Padres took the lead when Reginald Dowston hit an RBI double and then added to it when Euribiel Angeles hit an RBI single.

Alfredo Castaneda (1-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Jonathan Almonte (1-1) took the loss in the Dominican Summer League game.

DSL Padres took advantage of some erratic DSL D-backs1 pitching, drawing a season-high eight walks in its victory.

For the DSL D-backs1, Learsi Delgado homered and singled.

Despite the loss, DSL D-backs1 is 3-1 against DSL Padres this season.
