UK injury report: O-lineman Jeffries out

Kentucky offensive lineman Justin Jeffries had a setback with his knee injury and will not make the trip to Gainesville for Saturday's football game against fifth-ranked Florida, UK Coach Rich Brooks said Thursday.

Jeffries, UK's starting right tackle, was one of several Wildcats to miss practice time this week. Brooks provided this injury update after Thursday's practice:

■ Linebacker Braxton Kelley (shoulder) took some reps Thursday and will be available to play Saturday but will not be 100 percent.

■ Linebacker Johnny Williams (shoulder) probably will start but won't be 100 percent.

■ Cornerback David Jones (arm) probably will start but won't be 100 percent.

■ Free safety Marcus McClinton (knee) probably will not start, and whether he plays at all will be a game-time decision.

Freshmen put to the test

UK offensive coordinator Joker Phillips said Thursday he plans to go with a youthful receiving corps Saturday.

If UK opens with a two-receiver alignment, true freshmen Randall Cobb and Eric Adeyemi will start. If three start, the other will be true freshman Aaron Boyd.
