Angel McCoughtry had a game-high 24 points and 13 rebounds, leading No. 13 Louisville to a 67-44 victory over Middle Tennessee on Thursday night in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
McCoughtry scored 15 points in the second half as Louisville built on a 31-24 halftime lead. Candyce Bingham had 14 points, and Deseree Byrd and Keshia Hines added 11 each for the Cardinals.

Louisville (6-1) held Middle Tennessee to one field goal in the first 13 minutes of the second half to take control of the game.
The Blue Raiders (5-2) missed their first seven shots in the second half as Louisville connected on seven of 11 to take a 47-33 lead. Louisville then scored 11 straight points to take its largest lead at 58-33 with 7 minutes left.
Alysha Clark scored 18 points and Rose Hill Christian graduate Emily Queen added 17 to pace Middle Tennessee.
Murray State 73, Eastern Kentucky 61: The Lady Racers held off a late rally by host EKU in the Ohio Valley Conference opener for both schools. Murray led by 12 early in the second half but couldn't put the Lady Colonels away.
Ashley Hayes scored a game-high 25 points to go with eight rebounds and three steals for Murray (4-3, 1-0 OVC). Amber Guffey, Paige Guffey and Mallory Luckett each helped out with 11 points apiece.
Nadia Mossong led Eastern (2-4, 0-1) with 21 points.
Northern Kentucky 56, Indianapolis 54: The Lady Norse scored 12 of the last 13 points to rally past host Indianapolis. Jessie Slack scored 17 points to lead NKU (3-0), which is ranked No. 1 nationally in the Division II poll.
