LOUISVILLE — Louisville forward Stephan Van Treese is out indefinitely after reinjuring his left knee in practice on Saturday.

Van Treese participated in his first individual workout on Nov. 14 after missing the opening of the season with a left patellar tendon strain. The junior power forward played in a reserve role over the last three games, finishing with a total of four points and six rebounds in 20 minutes.

Van Treese averaged 2.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and started 12 games as a sophomore for the seventh-ranked Cardinals.

Besides Van Treese, Louisville (5-0) has been without forward Rakeem Buckles (right knee), guard Mike Marra (left knee) and forward Wayne Blackshear (right shoulder). Starting point guard Peyton Siva returned from a sprained left ankle in Friday night's 59-54 win over Ohio.
