In a scorefest normally associated with basketball, host Faulkner (Ala.) beat Union 95-89 in three overtimes Saturday night.
Faulkner's Josh Hollingsworth was 48-for-63 passing for 637 yards and seven touchdowns, including a game-winning 11-yard strike to Chris Kordakis. Hollingsworth also caught a TD pass.
Union quarterback Ryan Moss passed for 392 yards and four touchdowns, and running back Rob Brown carried 32 times for 229 yards and had six touchdowns.
Both teams combined for 184 points, 26 touchdowns and 1,489 yards on a night when defense was optional. There was one field goal, a 34-yarder by Union's Chad Boyington.
Brown's 13-yard TD run with 14 seconds left sent the game to overtime tied 75-75.
Davidson 28, Morehead State 24: Jonathan Carkhuff threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns, including a 41-yarder to Tim Hines with 47 seconds left to lift host Davidson past Morehead State in a Pioneer League game. Davidson (3-7, 1-6) snapped a six-game losing streak while handing Morehead (2-8, 1-6) its fifth loss in a row.
Murray State 56, Austin Peay 24: Mike Harris rushed for three touchdowns after an early flurry of field goals and fumble returns for scores staked host Murray State (6-4, 4-3 Ohio Valley Conference) to a big lead against Austin Peay (3-7, 2-5). Qua Huzzie and Julian Whitehead both returned fumbles for touchdowns in the first half.
Georgetown 33, Belhaven 7: Visiting Georgetown rushed for 218 yards to cap a perfect regular season, and the Tigers (10-0) will learn their postseason fate Sunday when the pairings are announced.
Thomas More 33, Mount St. Joseph 28: Lexington Christian graduate Domonique Hayden ran for 140 yards, including a 56-yard TD run in the fourth quarter, and Thomas More (9-1) rallied to beat Mount St. Joseph (6-4) in Cincinnati. Luke Magness connected with Tony Bell on a 45-yard TD pass with 4:36 to go to give the Saints a victory.
Kentucky Christian 31, Pikeville 28: Freshman Jared Cobb's 20-yard field goal as time expired gave Kentucky Christian a come-from-behind win at Mid-South rival Pikeville (4-6, 1-4). Kentucky Christian (4-6, 2-3) scored three times in the final 7:25 to erase a 28-17 deficit.
Centre 41, Rhodes 28: The host Colonels had 507 yards of offense — 314 on the ground — to win their regular-season finale. Tyler Osterman threw three touchdown passes to his brother Jason. Centre (8-1) will learn its postseason fate on Sunday.
Lindsey Wilson 48, Virginia-Wise 15: Dakota Brown rushed for a school-record 160 yards on 17 carries, and Branden Cresap passed for 255 yards and three touchdowns in the win for visiting Lindsey Wilson (7-3, 3-2 Mid-South).
