Union closed out the game scoring 21 unanswered points, but visiting Georgetown made its hefty early lead stand up for a 42-21 Mid-South Conference football win on Saturday.
The Tigers (6-3) amassed 394 of their 486 total offensive yards during the first 30 minutes. Quarterback Cody Wolfe completed 10-of-15 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns, while Zach Sowder ran for 101 yards and two more scores as Georgetown built a 42-0 halftime cushion.
Union (3-7) showed some fight in the second half, including a 52-yard interception return by Alonzo Collins, but couldn’t overcome the Tigers’ headstart.
Wolfe finished completing 12-of-20 passes for 229 yards. Defensively, Brock Messina led the way with 10 tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles.

Union quarterback Chandler Whittlesey finished with 181 yards on 12-of-25 passing. He also led the team in rushing with 46 yards on 13 carries.
San Deigo 56, Morehead State 3: Mason Mills threw for 378 yards and four touchdowns to lead San Diego to a rout of host Morehead State.
Two of Mills’ scoring passes went to Reggie Bell, including a 70-yarder that gave San Diego (7-3, 6-1) a 21-0 lead in the second quarter. Mills, who was 23-of-31 passing, went over 3,000 yards for the season. Bell, with 211 yards on nine catches, went over 1,000 yards receiving for the year.
The Eagles (3-7, 3-4) had three passes intercepted.
E. Illinois 37, Murray St. 17: Erik Lora passed Jerry Rice on the career receptions list and finished the game third all-time on the FCS list with 305 as Eastern Illinois (0-1) cruised past Murray State (5-5). Parks Frazier finished with 255 yards passing and two touchdowns to lead Murray State.
Lindsey Wilson 51, Bluefield 3: Lindsey Wilson College football scored 41 straight points — including 35 in the second half — to sprint past visiting Bluefield. The Blue Raiders (8-2) have out-scored the opposition 172-27 in a three-game winning streak. Senior Rome Cotton rushed for 118 yards against Bluefield (0-10) and became the first Blue Raider to rush for 1,000 yards in a single season.
Millsaps 28, Centre 27 (OT): A fumbled rush attempt by Harry Meisner in overtime sunk Centre’s chances as Millsaps (9-0) edged the Colonels (6-3). Meisner ran 21 times for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Kentucky St. 44, Morehouse 0: Quarterback Adam Robinson had five touchdown passes to four different receivers as Kentucky State (5-5) blanked visiting Morehouse (2-8). Robinson’s favorite target was Derek Woodmore, who pulled down TD passes of 54 and 68 yards.
William Jewell 37, Ky. Wesleyan 17: William Jewell (3-7) held host Kentucky Wesleyan (0-10) to just 2 yards rushing en route to dominating total offensive yards 406-166. Xavier Mitchell and Jeff Ward pulled down Wesleyan’s two touchdowns.
