Lexington Christian grad Domonique Hayden named to Little All-America football team

Domonique Hayden, a senior running back at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, has attracted some attention with his explosive performances this season. Thomas More College running back Domonique Hayden, a graduate of Lexington Christian Academy, was named Thursday to The Associated Press Little All-America Team, which honors players in NCAA Divisions II and III and the NAIA.

Hayden, a senior for Division III Thomas More, received second-team recognition.

Hayden was named the 2014 Presidents' Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, first team All-PAC and a semifinalist for the Gagliardi Trophy, which goes to Division III's player of the year.

Hayden led Division III this season in rushing touchdowns (25), finished second in scoring (16.7 ppg) and third in rushing yards per game (158.4). Hayden carried the ball 209 times for 1,421 yards in nine games this season.

Thomas More finished 8-2 overall and 7-1 in the PAC as it won a share of its sixth PAC title in the last seven years.
