Herald-Leader sports columnist John Clay is previewing each of the Southeastern Conference's football teams leading up to the opening of the 2015 season.

Today's preview focuses on Florida.

For the most part, the Gators have struggled since going 13-1 in 2009, Urban Meyer’s next-to-last season as the Florida coach. Including Meyer’s swan song in 2010, Florida is just 37-28 over the last five years. A 7-5 overall record and 4-4 SEC mark last season earned Will Muschamp a pink slip after just four years as the Florida head coach.
