New Orleans basketball star Craig Victor announced his commitment to Arizona on Saturday.
Victor, who will play his upcoming senior season at Findlay Prep (Nev.), was targeted by Kentucky earlier this year and evaluated by UK’s coaches throughout the summer recruiting period. He spoke several times about looking forward to an offer from the Wildcats, but that never came.
The 6-foot-8 power forward chose Arizona over home-state LSU and Oklahoma State.
Scout.com ranks Victor as the No. 14 overall prospect in the Class of 2014. His decision came one day after Angel Delgado’s commitment to Seton Hall. Delgado is another highly touted power forward from the 2014 class who was on UK’s radar but picked another school before getting an offer from the Wildcats.
