The Washington Wizards officially announced the signing of five players — including former University of Kentucky star Josh Harrellson — ahead of the team's training camp, which starts Tuesday.

The Wizards also signed Jaron Johnson, Toure' Murry, Ish Smith and Jaleel Roberts.

After its media day on Monday, the Wizards will hold their first three practice sessions (Sept. 29-Oct. 1) in Baltimore before returning to D.C. for the remainder of camp.

Harrellson, a 6-foot-10, 275-pound forward/center, played for the Phoenix Suns' summer league team earlier this year, averaging 8.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 17.2 minutes per game. He shot 42.3 percent from three-point range (11-for-26).

He is a three-year NBA veteran who has averaged 3.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in 11.8 minutes in 75 games with New York, Miami and Detroit.

Last season, he played in professional leagues in China (13.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game) and Puerto Rico (11.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game).
