University of Kentucky senior pitcher Kelsey Nunley was one of 14 players named Thursday to the Southeastern Conference’s all-league softball preseason team.

The team is voted on by the SEC’s head coaches. Each coach voted for five infielders, four outfielders, three pitchers, one catcher and one designated player/utility. No ties were broken.

Nunley went 14-16 in 2015, allowing just 73 earned runs and striking out 194 batters in 211 innings while leading the Kentucky softball team to its fourth super regional in the past five seasons.

The Soddy Daisy, Tenn., native had a 2.42 earned run average in 2015, and allowed just a .229 opposing batting average. Nunley broke the school record for career wins with her 69th against Western Kentucky and finished the season with 71.
