Kentucky pitcher Kelsey Nunley became the first softball player in UK history to be named a first-team National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association All-American.
The senior from Soddy Daisy, Tenn., went 21-6 with a 1.26 ERA in 37 appearances this season, including 13 complete games and seven shutouts.
UK’s only other All-American was Molly Johnson-Belcher, a second-team selection in 2009. Johnson-Belcher is now a UK assistant coach.
