After a more than two-hour rain delay, first pitch was scheduled for 9:20 p.m.
Kentucky (42-21) and North Carolina State (36-24) are meeting for the third time in this weekend’s regional. The Wolfpack defeated UK 5-4 on Saturday night. Kentucky bounced back Sunday with an 8-6 win to force Monday’s night’s deciding game.
The winner of Monday night’s game advances to the super-regional in which it will play a best-of-three series at Louisville this weekend.
Junior left-hander Zach Logue (7-5, 4.66 ERA) is Kentucky’s starting pitcher.
