Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Ole Miss (21-14, 6-7 SEC) made the most of a dropped two-out infield pop-up, scoring the game-tying run and bringing home two more in the eighth to edge visiting Kentucky 3-2 Friday night.
UK (17-18, 2-11 Southeastern Conference) led on a solo homer by Michael Williams.
In the sixth, UK starter Alex Meyer (3-5) induced a pop-up with two outs and a runner on second. UK third baseman Thomas McCarthy dropped the wind-blown ball.
The Wildcats lost their 10th consecutive SEC game, their longest losing streak since the 2003 season, when UK went 9-20 in the league.
In the ninth inning, two-out singles by Brian Adams, J.T. Riddle and Chad Wright brought UK to within 3-2. However, Taylor Black flied to deep left to end the game.
