Kentucky's Cousino earns SEC freshman of year honor

University of Kentucky center fielder Austin Cousino was named Monday the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year by SEbaseball.com.

Cousino, from Dublin, Ohio, is batting .330, with 19 doubles, one triple, nine homers, 38 RBI and 11 stolen bases.

On Sunday, SEbaseball.com named Kentucky's Gary Henderson its SEC Coach of the Year.

The official conference awards, voted on by the league's coaches, will not be announced until after this week's SEC Tournament.
