South Carolina, ranked 14th in the country, completed a three-game sweep of No. 17 Kentucky on Sunday with a 3-1 college baseball victory at Columbia, S.C.

The Gamecocks won a doubleheader 5-2 and 7-6 Saturday.

Kentucky (24-15, 7-11 Southeastern Conference) took the lead in the fourth inning Sunday, but the hosts answered with a two-run homer from LB Dantzler in the bottom half of the fourth.

UK starter Corey Littrell (4-3) took the loss in his tenth start of the season. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Louisville native moved into a tie for 10th place in UK history with his 39th career start. Littrell worked his 21st career quality start and his seventh of 2013, working 72⁄3 innings, allowing five hits and three runs, walking five and striking out three.

The Wildcats turned a season-high four double plays but got just one run, which was unearned, on 10 hits.

A.J. Reed had three of UK's 10 hits and drove in the Cats' only run with a double in the fourth. Zac Zellers had two hits.

South Carolina freshman left-hander Jack Wynkoop (5-2) got the win with a career-high eight innings. He struck out three and walked none. Tyler Webb got a save, his 12th.

The Cats are now 5-7 on the road, 2-7 in SEC road games. They are only 3-8 against Top 25 teams.
