Kentucky's game against Austin Peay on Saturday will be available to all Insight customers throughout Kentucky, the cable company announced Tuesday.
The game is being carried on the Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast channel — one Insight doesn't usually carry — but the company made an agreement to broadcast the game on basic cable on channel 17 in Lexington, 2 in Louisville, 6 in Northern Kentucky, 5 in Bowling Green and 2 in the Evansville/Henderson area. Channels might be different for customers with digital packages. Contact Insight at (859) 514-1400 for more information.
"We've worked out a carriage agreement so that no matter which programming package folks have, if they are an Insight customer, they will be able to see the game," Insight announced via e-mail.
As a part of the new, 15-year television agreement between ESPN and the Southeastern Conference, CSS has the rights to a minimum of 20 games per season (eight conference games). This year, CSS has been granted 23 television broadcasts. The Austin Peay game is UK's only game on CSS this season.
