Kentucky's next opponent: Indiana

Indiana Hoosiers

Saturday

Assembly Hallin Bloomington, Ind.

(5:15 p.m., ESPN)

About the opponent

Location: Bloomington, Ind.

Enrollment: 40,354

School colors: Cream and Crimson

Conference: Big Ten

Coach: Tom Crean

2011-12 record: 7-0

2010-11 record: 12-20 overall, 3-15 Big Ten.

All time vs. UK: 23-31

Last meeting: Kentucky won 81-62 on Dec. 11, 2010, in Rupp Arena.

Outlook: The Hoosiers added 6-foot-11 Cody Zeller — brother of North Carolina senior Tyler Zeller — to a veteran unit and, so far, the freshman is everything Indiana had hoped. Zeller leads the team in scoring (15.4 points per game) and rebounding (7.6). After three consecutive 20-loss seasons, this is starting to look like the year Indiana basketball becomes relevant again. Entering Sunday's game against Stetson, the Hoosiers are coming off back-to-back breakthrough wins against Butler (75-59) and at North Carolina State (86-75). But a game against No. 1 Kentucky represents a major step up in class.
