School colors: Orange and White

Conference: Southeastern

Coach: Cuonzo Martin

2011-12 record: 10-11 overall, 2-4 SEC

2010-11 record: 19-15 overall, 8-8 SEC (fifth place in Eastern Division). Lost to Michigan 75-45 in NCAA Tournament round of 64.

Outlook: Tennessee has displayed a capacity for surprising victories (Florida, UConn) and embarrassing defeats (Oakland, Austin Peay, Charleston). The Volunteers pushed Kentucky to the limit in the teams' first meeting this season in Knoxville, a game that saw the debut of bruising freshman Jarnell Stokes, but an ugly loss at Vanderbilt on Tuesday left the Volunteers searching for answers. They found some in a victory over Auburn on Saturday. The Vols entered the game allowing a league-worst 66.8 points per game but beat the Tigers 64-49.
