Former University of Kentucky standout Kyle Wiltjer, now with Gonzaga, and incoming UK freshman Jamal Murray both made it through the final cut Saturday for Canada's Pan American Games roster.
The Pan Am Games are being held in Toronto, with men's basketball scheduled to start on Tuesday.
"As a kid, I always dreamed of opportunities like these," Wiltjer posted on Instagram. "Excited to play in the 2015 Pan Am Games."
Wiltjer, who was part of the Cats' 2012 national championship team, led Gonzaga in scoring last season as a junior at 16.8 points per game.He was a USBWA second-team All-American, an Associated Press third-team All-American and was the West Coast Conference's newcomer of the year.
Murray's commitment in late June was enough to move UK past Duke for the No. 1 spot in the 247Sports composite ranking. That recruiting service ranks the 6-foot-5 prospect as the No. 10 overall player in the class of 2015.
Canada's 12-man roster also includes NBA players Anthony Bennett (Timberwolves), Andrew Nicholson (Magic) and Sim Bhullar (Kings).
