Ex-Cat Dale Brown to host basketball camp in Lexington

Former University of Kentucky basketball player Dale Brown will host a basketball camp in Lexington next week.

Brown, who recently returned to Kentucky and was named head boys’ basketball coach at Eminence, will run the camp Wednesday and Thursday at the Imani Center on Georgetown Road.

Brown played at Kentucky from 1991-93, serving as a defensive specialist and averaging 8.2 points per game.

The camp, which goes from 9 a.m to 2:30 p.m. each day, is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 17. The fee is $50.

Registration at the Imani Center begins Wednesday at 8 a.m.

Brown will also accept registrations at the Walmart on Richmond Road on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
