A highly touted shooting guard from Indianapolis became Kentucky's first commitment for 2011, according to one women's basketball recruiting service.
Bria Goss, one of the top 75 players in the country according to ESPN's Hoopgurlz.com, told the Web site that she is planning to be a Wildcat and that she notified Coach Matthew Mitchell on Saturday.
Goss, a 5-foot-10 guard out of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, is ranked No. 71 overall and No. 19 at her position in the nation.
"I really enjoy watching their style of play," Goss told Hoopgurlz. "I can take my game to another level there, and I know there are people there who will push me. I think I can push them, too."
Goss jokingly said she picked UK because she looks good in blue.
She chose the Cats over Michigan, Indiana, Western Michigan, Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin and Iowa.
