UK Football

Summary of UK's signing day

Immediate impact

Players who could see action as freshmen and help the team right away:

Maxwell Smith/Theltus Cobbins: Ryan Mossakowski's transfer means one of these QBs will have to be ready, at least as a backup.

Glenn Faulkner: One of the nation's top safety prospects could step in immediately at a position that has lacked consistency.

Marcus Caffey/Josh Clemons: UK doesn't have a clear-cut No. 1 tailback, so it figures that two of the top running back prospects from Georgia could get in the mix.

Tim Patterson: Once he gets fully healthy, Patterson has the look of an outside linebacker in UK's new 3-4 scheme.

Rashad Cunningham: UK signed at least five guys who could play receiver but, at 6-4, 200 pounds, Cunningham seems to be the most physically ready.
