Several national coaching search websites reported on Tuesday night that Kentucky has hired former Tennessee cornerbacks coach Derrick Ansley for the same position in Lexington.

UK cannot confirm the hire until the position has been officially closed, which was listed on the school's website as Wednesday, along with one other vacant assistant coaching spot.

Ansley, a former standout at Troy, was on the Vols' staff for one season before Derek Dooley was fired.

According to Ansley's bio on Tennessee's official website, he was a defensive assistant in the secondary for two seasons at Alabama before being hired on at Central Florida, where he stayed for two months before taking the job with the Volunteers.
