Kentucky season ticket holders that want to go to a postseason bowl game with the Cats have an opportunity to boost UK’s chances at the best bowl by pre-ordering tickets through Thursday afternoon.
Season ticket holders and eligible K Fund donors can log into ukathletics.com/bowl and do a priority request for specific bowls. Tickets ordered between now and the 4 p.m. deadline on Thursday guarantee the best seats within UK’s allotment.
Fans are not charged for tickets until the bowl game is set on Sunday as part of the College Football Playoff special. Kentucky likely will know where it is headed between 3:30-6 p.m.
The pre-order numbers also are something that bowl representatives regularly request from the athletics department because they indicate fan interest, which could lead to a more prestigious bowl, UK spokesman Guy Ramsey said.
If tickets remain after the priority request period ends, public ticket sales will begin after the bowl announcement and then the tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Details about the general public ticket sales will be available after the bowl selection on Sunday night.
